Super Bowl

We had plans to attend a party today, celebrate a birthday, watch the game, play with friends. But - Emma has had bronchitis and Sophie started the weekend with her own version of a cold and cough. So, we cancelled and stayed home to watch the game. It still had to be fun - and eating peanuts out of the shell is fun. Emma mastered the art of shelling peanuts very quickly. Sophie just woke up and immediately became a fan. She is busting out a peanut right now. They have a technique. They think peanuts are easiest to remove by cracking them on the table - it doesn't work for me.

As an update, we had to switch Emma's antibiotic twice (once only because our pharmacy didn't carry the original prescription) and now she is on one that made the list of the 50 most horrible medications to take (due to it's incredibly foul taste). She is also taking cough medicine with codeine at night, which means we are all getting some sleep now.

One more Super Bowl note - there was a Chili Cookoff at Andy's office on Friday and he decided to make some chili Thursday night. At one point, he thought he had ruined it and almost threw it away. He decided to take it anyhow, and out of ten chilis, Andy got 2nd place. Not bad...
