mailbox, mailbox, octagon...

There is a new game being played in the car these days... it's just as the title of this post suggests. One of the girls starts saying mailbox each time there is a mailbox on the side of the road and then when a stop sign comes she says "octagon", then her turn appears to be over and the next child takes over, using her side of the street for guidance. Eventually, they stop taking turns and just go simultaniously until someone runs out of mailboxes. It's a big hit, and I'm rather proud that my girls know the shape and word for octagon (well, at least they know it's red a lot of the time).
Hope you have had a good week and something fun in the works for the weekend. We will be putting lettuce and spinach seeds in the ground, setting up tomato cages in preparation, and planting gladiola bulbs and lupine seeds. Oh yeah, we are going to plant some green beans and marigolds around the teepee trellis too. Since the weather promises to be fantastic, I should be back with lots of pictures of our weekend works.
