Andy explained the history behind fireworks on the Fourth of July to Emma. He talked about the Founding Fathers of our country.
Today was a very cold, damp and dreary day. It actually felt like Fall around here. The girls brought down a bunch of their dolls and soft toys and set up some "fireworks" in the living room.
Then, they sang "Happy Birthday" to God. That's right.
So, Andy asked Emma about it and she said we do the fireworks on Fourth of July to celebrate God's birthday.
She is so smart, but sometimes the facts become a little twisted in her amazing brain. She did go to Day Camp at Creator Lutheran Church just before July 4th.
