Today was Emma's birthday party. We went to Hollywood Bowl, used up 6 lanes and tallied up 43 games of bowling, ate two pizzas, three popcorns, three pitchers of lemonade, and 40 cupcakes (this number includes about 20 mini cupcakes). Emma had a great time and was thrilled to have so many friends make it to her party - including the neighbor boys and one boy from class, Brandt.
Afterward, we sent Sophie home with her friend Johnna for a sleepover and Emma brought her friend Natalie home with us to do the same. This is the very first time that Sophie has had a sleepover with a friend and she was so excited she could hardly stand it. I had to remind her to give me a smooch goodbye. Our house feels very weird right now.
I have a request for apples, so more posting later. A good birthday celebration was had.
