Our neighborhood has it's own flock...

I was in the kitchen, Sophie in the dining room. Sophie says; "Mom, look at the birds" - so, I did. They were everywhere. They completely covered the back yard at one point. Looking for seed, it seemed. I grabbed the camera, turned it on, removed lens cap, held it up and opened the door. This is what happened...

So, Andy pointed out that the HEAVILY saturated ground has probably invited worms to surface and the birds are in heaven!
